isn't columbian a clean breasted color? He is identical to his daddy, except where the black was the blue is on him. His dad had black spots on his chest. He was almost white as a youngster but in his second year he got a lot of black. Both he and his father were white chipmunks as chicks...
So how would i know if he had a dilute then? I assumed a dilute would not show the red in the shoulders? Is he a blue columbian then, or a duckwing?

This is daddy, son is identical in markings to dad as a youngster.
Off topic but is there anything special about brown based colors? Could i breed them to look similar to chocolates? The other chick that i have been watching from that hatching was an all brown chick. She's looking pretty but i don't know what color to even breed her with, all the other babies i've had were wild type chipmunks. She was the only brown base, though i have another with almost identical markings
