Is this guy all polish or a x?

Ok-I'm a newbie at the chicken breed thing, but what is OEGB? Also, our little guy or gal is around 9 weeks, so we should probably be able to tell about what the sex is, right?

Sorry, OEGB is Old English Game Bantam (it is a rather popular game bantam, with tons of different colors. They only get around a pound, and are very flashy, vocal, baby-making birds.)

As for the gender, some crosses or purebred birds are hard to determine. Sometimes, you can look at a chick on its first day of life and know its gender. Other times, you have to wait.

By, the picture, I can't say what your bird's gender is. Maybe in I was there holding him, I would be able to, but I'm not sure. I know from experience that Silkies and their crosses can be very hard to determine gender. Thankfully in the OEGB/Silkie cross it was a little easier for me, but my OEGB/E.E (Easter Egger) are impossible to figure out.

But, having other chicks of the same age and cross would, really helps one figure out gender, by being able to compare them. If you don't have that, it could take even longer.
