We bought 15 baby chicks....Easter Eggers and Orpingtons. They are now 8 weeks old. This one looks a bit different from the rest...we are wondering if it is in fact going to turn out to be a rooster! We were buying hens but also know that there is no guarantee. I have looked up pictures but am just not sure.

Yup, a cockerel.

Okay, would you educate me just a bit. What about this one helps you identify it as a cockerel. The cheeks? The comb? I reaaallllly want to learn how to I.D. them. Thank you!
The comb is too big for a pullet at this age. Also, the male coloring and what I mean by this is that he has very splotchy, uneven patterning. Female EEs have a more even patterning.

Okay, thank you. I was suspicious about the comb.
I agree with Bean. The cheeks are normal for his breed, being an EE. EEs are mutts, but they tend to have beards. Some do not, like Lucas, my other Easter Egger cockerel. Your boy is going to be handsome.

Here are my EE males.

The last one is the dad to the other two. I do love my Easter Eggers! They are great birds.
