Is this hen broody?

one of my buff Orpington’s cross hybrid warren has been acting funny this morning including making strange noises but is not sitting on any eggs. She isn’t even a year old yet and was wondering if she is broody. Has a sound file of the noise she makes and some pics.

If she stays in the nest and doesn’t come out then yes. Sometimes you catch them laying and they make noises also. The broody I have isn’t quite a year old so it is always possible, but normally they sit on at least a few eggs before beginning to set. Wait and see if she moves today that will tel you if she is broody.
