I have just went through a terrible mite infestation and I thought it was over and feathers we’re going to be coming back but now more are falling out. This is my worst looking hen but I have a few more could it just be the season molting?

Looks more like excessive mating, but could be a combination of mating and molting.
So you don’t think it’s mites? We are about to remove the rooster but we have another one but he’s not an issue. I’ve just been really worried because we get cold winters here and I don’t want featherless chickens.😂

They could both be mounting her....or having 2 can create competition and over-mounting by just one of them.

How old are your birds, in months?

Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

I am in Michigan and

Its about to be fall so it’s just starting to cool down. That’s why I thought it was molting.
Depending on how old she is, she may molt soon.
But what shows in the pic is feather damage from mating and/or pecking.
