My buff Brahma appears to have issues on her butt. 5 of my 7 chickens are missing butt feathers which I attribute to good egg laying, but my Brahma is a mess back there. Anyone else experience anything like this and what can I do? Picture attached. Thanks.

Looks like the picture didn't attach properly.

As for the chickens loosing their butt feathers, are they still laying? If not, that sounds like you might be going into a molting season.

As for the messy backside, is she still passing eggs/waste?

The lower part looks like the feathers are currently growing back. The upper crusted part is a bit concerning. It might be worth soaking her in some warm water and seeing if we can determine what is happening there. If that's matted waste, it would be a good idea to see if that can be broken up and cleared. If that's scabs, well, would be worth inspecting that area a bit closer to see if puss comes out or if that's just a fresh wound that is healing.

I'd be curious if there are mites on this one. If there are, do they have a proper place to dust bathe?

It's due to urates in feces scalding the skin causing fluff/feather loss, redness, swelling and irritation.
Apply Nu-Stock as needed to the affected area and it will heal. It can be found in the equine section at a feed store. Shake the tube well and wear disposable gloves when applying it.
You can trim back fluff and feathers on their rear end but not too much.
