Is this just molting or something else?

This is the first time I've been around molting birds. I have a few of them doing this! It isn't bleeding or anything and the down seems to be falling out. It's like on top of the back near where their tail feathers start.

That looks more like feather pecking/eating or wear and tear from a rooster.

I agree with sourland, it looks like a rooster work to me.
