Is this latch raccoon proof?

Elmo's and 3rocks are definitely NOT raccoon proof. They have very nimble fingers and while their thumbs aren't technically opposable, they're darn close!!! If a 5 year old can fiddle with it long enough to get it open, so can a raccoon. (a five year old that can climb up a wall, hang from a roof edge or scale a fence.) Not every raccoon will go to the trouble, but once they figure it out, they'll dine on chicken.

I had this simple twist latch on my egg doors that lasted over 15 years before the Raccoons figured it out:

A raccoon has hours every single night to figure out a door or latch. They can open lids of screw on jars and even trash cans. City ones can even open round door knobs. A simple latch isn't really enough to keep them out.

OK guys, I get it

- the latch would not hold a coon out - that is why I posted here - I like getting ideas from everyone - in fact I just bought new latches with padlocks. In a different post, I posted pictures of my nest box to get help with figuring out how to secure that one because I couldn't figure out the angles. I will post the befores & afters pictures later on. I thought the spring latch would hold one out because even my 11 & 13 yo dd's couldn't get it open. But they aren't hungry coons looking for an evening snack.

Now I have someone's house cat investigating my yard - has been in the yard 3 times the last 2 days....sigh...don't know if I'm cut out having chickens.....

What about this kind of latch? We have these on the small chicken size doors going into their coop which we close and push the little button down at night. Has anyone had any experience with these?

I have padlocks on the run and the entry door. I take my key with me 'cause I don't want Rocky Racoon putting it on his Lucky Rabbits Foot key chain.

The problem with that is you'll be out in the winter, hands full of some kind of moist treats and realize the key is hanging on the hook by the door or in your other jacket or you have no idea where in heck it is.

We have many different latches & locks that were supposed to be raccoon proof. All doors/boxes/entries have at least one twist/screw lock caribiner on them. They also all have multiple locks to each opening...
'Resistant' is a better word than 'proof'. These raccoons are awful!
