Is this leg mite's?

I picked up a few hen's and a rooster from this little lady (76) because her husband passed, and they were his project. When I got them the hen's are molting, and their legs look horrible. I will try to get pic's of the hen's, but for now I have a pic of the roosters legs. Is this mites, I have them seperated from my flock, because I do not want to give this to my girl's and boy's. I have vasoline on their legs for now. Tell me what you all think.

Yep... looks like mites to me, now that I look closer. Yes, rub Vaseline or any safe Vegetable oil on his legs, and you will have to clean the whole coop and you might as well put some oil on the others, just to be safe. I would say that you should rub the Vaseline on every day for about 1+ weeks, or until the scales look much better and no mites are visible.
