Is this lice?

Lice & nits?? Photos of vent & area just below. I took in this hen a couple of months ago. Her rear end was always sort of dirty but just got worse and now I see why! I have my flock of 5 others hens. None of them like to be caught so I can’t easily examine. I don’t see any other dirty rears. What do I treat with & how? I’ve been reading threads here & online - I’ve seen a few suggested products to use. Are there instructions? Will I have to catch these birds every day?

That is a VERY bad case of Mites (Chicken lice)

Get this spread it all over the coop and chickens

To remove lice eggs from feather shafts, use coconut oil.

I’m assuming I coat my (gloved) fingers with it & work at them?

Yes it’s awful & I feel bad for not checking her sooner. I will get some of this.
