Is This Lice?

Would you please stop with the copying and pasting of wrong information from other websites.
I highly recommend you spend some time learning things yourself before you continue to offer wrong advice to others. You are not helping anyone with the confusion. You continue to post flat out wrong I do then delete it. Just stop, learn first then try to help others.
I’m happy to delete out of date information, but when I see a product that has five times the necessary chemical dosage which is primarily marketed for horses then it’s necessary to say this is not the ideal product for chickens. There was nothing “wrong” on any post I’ve ever made. Out of date, yes, and I said so and deleted. There is a tendency on this site to denigrate those with less posts, as though they’re less intelligent or experienced..you don’t really know me, or my experience even if I present as one thing. Sometimes, ppl like a little anonymity. I’ve always been courteous, I’d expect the same. Save the lectures. You don’t know how many years or decades I’ve been doing this.

Which spray?

No I don't know how many years or decades but I've seen you post wrong and or potentially hurtful information quite a few times...which makes it obvious you have no idea what you're talking about.
Just please be careful offering advice you are not 100% sure of because it can be very harmful.

There is a tendency to solve problems with chemicals. There are underlying reasons birds get lice. Those issues should be addressed or at least identified as well, or all the remedies won’t help, or rather, you’ll be leaning on them frequently. Hygiene, proximity/contact/shared water or feed areas with wild birds, there’s nothing wrong with trying less harsh treatments unless the issue is completely out of control and affecting the health of the birds. Identifying and eliminating possible sources of cross contamination is another facet of a total remedy.

Have you ever treated your peafowl for lice? Lice love peafowl
I've tried to spray them with the protector several times. The problem is that they're really skiddish. They're ok with me as long as I don't try to touch them. I caught them this morning and sprayed them a little. I have to use a fishing net. After they were caught they wouldn't stop flailing.

They’ll dust bathe in anything that has dirt or sand in. A giant planter. A kiddie pool. A kids sand box… Use your imagination & try what you have. If it doesn’t work, try something else. Anything you use will have the dirt kicked out of it. You will have to keep refilling it.
We just got rid of our sand box yesterday 🤦‍♀️😂

Really? And you’re the one who posted a spray for horses at five times the recommended concentration? For “Horse and Stable”? Yes..Chicken is on the label..but do you really want to hose down your poultry with five times the necessary chemicals? That’s what this all started with..a simple question, now you’ve blown it into something completely different.

I hear ya, mine are the same way and I have many scars and ripped clothing from wrangling them. Since they are so difficult, I use ivermectin for lice with them. I use the injectable orally, but lots of peafowl breeders use the pour-on.

The 0.5% solution is what I use on all fowl. Since it is more concentrated you don't need to use as much.
