Here is the progress:

That's my hubby working on the nesting box.

(we bought this used)

Plans:
put linoleum on the floor of the coop (wood shavings on top of that)
enclose the entire bottom (lower level) of the coop
For the top doors, cover with plexi glass for most of the doors, then leave the top portion open for ventilation? Enforce the top with hardware cloth.
Secure the two roosts in the top area
Panel the outside
get hanging feeders for the bottom level

We have netting to put over the run.

Any other suggestions? Ideas?

Looking good....the only thing I would suggest is that you be sure that the lid on the nesting box keeps the rain run-off out. Where the lid hinges at the side of the coop I would suggest a piece of something flexible to make the transition from the side to the lid that would cover the hinges. I used scrap rubber pond liner. I have heard of the suggestion of using the vinyl base board that you can buy that is like 4 inches wide. Go to my site and check out how I did it.
Good luck and welcome to the addiction.

My nestbox is a rear rollaway, and it pops out through the coop wall. The hinge for the lid is the part that is more exposed to the weather (the roof eave goes out far enough to cover the join between the nest box and the coop wall). I did a kind of redneck fix for mine (apologies to any folks who may take offense to the label).

I got that flexible flashing tape which adheres to the wood surface, taped half of one length of it across the top of the nestbox next to the hinge, then placed another length of it sticky side UP under the first strip so the two adhesive sides stuck to each other, then folded the other half of the underside length of tap over the top surface of the first length of tape. It made a flap that covered the hinge.

Then, when I painted the coop and nest box, I simply painted over the silver flashing tape.

Dunno if my description makes sense, but it works for me.

Your coop looks great!
