3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? >>Found him at feeding around 8am

4) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.>> No injuries

5) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. >>He is very Hyper and skittish could have flailed around and injured himself

6) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.>> Ate soon as i fed him

7) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.>> Regular Poo

8) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? Isolated him to a individual small pen to limit his movements

9 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? Want to treat him myself

10) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help. Sorry no pic he's just sitting on his hocks

11) Describe the housing/bedding in use >> He is in a 3'x3' cage with a hen of the same breed >> no bedding he is on wire >> he is now in a isolated 2x2 cage

Found this Rooster sitting on his hocks and only able to stand a few seconds at the most this morning, He has been fine up till today no illness or sign of anything.
I moved him away from his hen to a smaller pen to restrict his movements in case it's a injury and not Mereks

Theres not the usual spreading of the legs and lying on the breast typical with Mereks.

**UPDATE**
Found him this evening in the position of one leg in Front and the other in the Back as if doing a split classic Mereks position

I would have put him down but it is almost dark and i just didn't have the time all of my other birds are safe as i only house them in pairs or trios.
Moved any birds in the vicinity of the cage him and his hen were in and will be moving her at first light for observation.
I know how to contain it i had it 7 years ago and if you keep the other birds away from the area it doesn't spread.
Had 10 beautiful Buff Black tails in a pen together when Mereks struck them after my son scared them cleaning out from under their cage and i lost all but 2 to Mereks.
Just completely amazes me how fast he went down yesterday he was fine this morning he was on his hocks and eating by this evening he was laid out on the wire.

Thanks for your replys and i think i got it from here

I don't think it is Mereks. I would leave him in the smaller cage so you can watch him and monitor his behavior and what he eats and drinks.

I would definately put something on the bottom of the cage. Wire floors and chicken feet do not go well together.

Add Poly Vi Sol liquid baby vitamins to his diet. Give 2 drops in the morning and 2 at night. Make sure you get the formula WITHOUT iron.

If his appetite is not up to snuff make him scrambled eggs, oatmeal, give a little bit of fruit (too much will cause diarrhea) some chopped pieces of leftover chicken or beef and sunflower seeds without the shells.

Make sure he is able to stand and walk around the cage if he wants to. I think he is just feeling under the weather.
