Is this molting?

Very possible that she was VERY popular and they ran her ragged! That's why they make saddles for the girls...to prevent over amorous roosters from damaging the 'goods'! Either way...protein will bring those feathers in quicker & she'll be her beautiful self in no time flat!

I sure hope so. She has yet to lay for me. She's about a year old and I've only had her a month but I think the lack of laying was stress induced by her current situation.

It could be. One of my neighbors had a hen and she was about to put it in the freezer. She threatened it and it finally started laying. Lol. We finished our coop just after our hens started laying and that stressed them out enough to stop laying for two weeks. Hope she heals up and starts laying soon.

For such 'tough' little birds, EVERYTHING seems to stress them out! Lol. I would figure that once she's comfortable and secure, the eggs will come! But, if her body is trying to grow back feathers, the eggs will go on the back-burner until she's done! A little one-on-one time with some high protein treats may be just what she needs! You're such a good daddy!
