A while back I posted pictures of what I bought as a Welsummer hen and not only was he not a hen but he is not a Welsummer. I am now wondering if I got confused. Could the attached pictures be my Welsummer hen? I thought she was one of the Americana

s I purchased but she has yellow legs.

that looks like a welsummer. my ees all have bluish green legs, and the comb is different. They also have puffy cheeks.

Thanks, All of my other Americana's have the dark legs. Some of my Americana's have the tufts on the cheeks and some don't. When I noticed those legs today I began to wonder if I got these chicks mixed up and the one I though was a Welsummer was on of the Americana's and this is the Welsummer.

You know, I never noticed the comb. You are right! Bet this is the Welsummer. Guess I am the poster child for confusion.

THANKS EVERYONE! You don't know how happy this makes me. I though I was going to have to wait another year for a Welsummer. I still have 3 new Americana's and that is all I really need with my 3 older Americana hens. Can you believe that out of 3 Americana Pullets purchased at Rural King, 2 were NOT hens. Why did I pay extra for Pullets?
