Is this normal behavior for a chick?

Hi,

I have almost 2 week old chicks, one of them was doing this weird thing tonight as I sat there talking to them and watching them… I am hoping this is normal or just that she was acting weird because I was there talking to them (they all go crazy when I get in there with them, every time, and yes, I try to hold them and talk to them often). She’s opening and closing her beak over and over. She’s eaten and drank water, but she has been laying around more today than normal I felt like. I know I’m an over anxious chick mom, so I’m hoping I’m just overreacting. I can’t post a video so I hope I’ve described that well 🙈 thanks!

Could she be too hot? Do they have room to get away from the heat plate?

Yea, I got a heat plate and it’s in a corner of their brooder box.
When she's opening and closing her beak, is she under the heat plate or does she have her wings drooping (drooping wings is a sign of them being to warm). Do you have a thermometer to check the temperature of the heat plate? Have you tried looking inside her mouth to see if she got something stuck? Does she sound raspy?

I've had chicks who have opened and closed their beaks like they were going to crow. They were adjusting their crop after they ate.
