Is this normal behavior for a rooster?

My rooster has been recently flopping over on his side and I’m wondering if that’s normal for him to do that. This is the first time I’ve ever seen my rooster or any other rooster do this

Is he digging at the ground? He might be trying to take a dirt bath. Or he might be sunbathing. That’s what my flock looks like whenever they decide to lay in the sun. They don’t do it that often though, mostly playing in the dirt.

He's sun bathing. Probably thinks his hens are safe if he has any, so he's taking a break and enjoying the sun. Even roosters deserve a break.
Exactly. If they are relaxed enough to sun lounge, that's a good sign
