Is this normal? (NO PICTURES)

Well my two week and a half duckling eye thing is starting to get worse.
Today when I woke up the first thing I found was that the cage was extremely dirty. So I cleaned it and used napkins instead. When I went to see the duckling.
The area around his eye is extremely brown in color, they both sneeze, and I found a big green-ish bubble on his eye where it meets the bill.
Theres no image because I cleaned his eye with salt already.

You know we have tried to get you to understand that ducks need to be able to wash their faces often including washing their eyes out or things like this your seeing will happen, I saw were Amiga asked you if you had something for the ducklings to wash their faces in and you said no they only had 1 bowl, why can't you understand that you need to take responsibility for this problem and start letting your ducklings wash their faces? I feel that you keep asking for help but won't take any directions. Most of us have had ducks/ ducklings for many years and know what they need and don't need. I realize your young but even my own grandchildren one which is 13 could understand what we have been telling you. Ducks are very messy and need to be kept as clean as possible or bacteria will build up in their brooder and cause problems with respiratory including their eyes. Please read the link I gave you about caring for ducklings, you took these duckling from their mother IT"S your responsibility to care for them NOW. and yes I am up set that you just don't seem to get it or just don't want to.

I actually put the water higher so they can reach in and clean their faces.
But they don't like to do that and I put them in water for swimming.

I don't really understand.
I put the water higher, they still won't dip their faces in it.
I put them in warm nice water to clean themselves, they panic and get all wet!
What am I suppose to do now?
My temporary cage is too small for them right now for an extra water bowl.

can you show us what your using for them to dunk their heads into? at 2.5 weeks old they should be washing and head dunking. and when you say you put them in a warm place to wash themselves what are you talking about and explain what you mean by they panic? if you mean they begin to splash and throw water all over that's just how they bath. LOL Can you not find anything bigger to put them in? these ducklings grow so fast like over night and need lost of space to move around and they need to have food and water 24/7 right now. Did you read the link I gave you about caring for your ducklings and show it to your parents? It will explain everything to you.

I put them in a medium critter cage with warm water at least high enough to their legs.
I don't have a camera or phone right now to show you.
What I mean by panic I mean squeaking and yelling and trying to jump out the edges. and slipping and falling and jumping on each other.

I am not sure what that's all about if you have them inside where they feel secure. My ducklings at less than a week old were playing in the water of a cat litter pan, but they had their mama with them. If you can get some pics when you can maybe we can help you figure out what's going on. can they safely get in and out of the water you have set up for them?

they cant get out themselves.
but last time for the first 3 days they enjoyed swimming in the critter cage and never paniced.
but I WOULD take them out after 15 minutes.
And they don't like to swim anymore.

I don't know other than they go through so many stages during growth, sometimes things they are familiar with will all of a sudden look like it's going to eat them, including us. I'd say to keep trying to get them to bath and especially give them something to wash their faces with when they are in their brooder. I cannot stress enough how important this is for their health. Yes they are going to make a big mess but it's just part of keeping ducklings/ducks.

The thing is,I did put an extra water bowl a long time ago.
But all they did was spit out the purina food in it.
