my chickens just started laying eggs and our smallest chicken snowflake one morning was yapping really loud so i rushed out there to see what was up. i thought a predator got her but she was in the nests and under her feet was a giant egg! and i mean GIANT!!!!!! this thing was HUGE!!!!! no wonder she was yapping! here are the pics.

I think if she layed that egg she is THE egg laying queen!!!! She could have got up in the nest box and was fussing out who ever did lay that egg.
"Who in the heck did THIS!!! I mean really girl you just raised the bar on ALL of us. I do not want to see another egg like this! DO YOU HEAR ME!"

Double yolkers are pretty common when they first start laying and are getting the kinks worked out of their system. I've never had any here, but I've read plenty of posts describing triple yolkers and even a few where there is another full formed egg (shell and all) inside. You never know what you might find in the nest box when your girls are getting started.

Yeah, I've been getting double yolkers too out of my first year layers. With a backyard flock you're going to see a lot of different kinds of things than will come in a box at the super market--they get weeded out at the source.
