I have a Patridge Cochin that is about 9 months old. She laid this egg today/
Is this a problem?

Not being a young hen, heard they lay some "interesting" eggs

That's just an oddly shaped soft shelled eggs if she just started laying then her body hasent gotten into the routine yet and her system has some opps.give her some calcium just in case and eventually she should lay a hard shelled egg.

I wouldn't worry unless she starts laying abnormal eggs regularly. Sometimes there is a glitch in the system.
