Is this normal?

today I bought two baby quails very cute and we brought them home around 12:20 and after like an hour of Pepper (one of the quails) chirping a lot until I came back and gave him/her attention (we don’t know there genders yet) then Pepper and Basil went to sleep and have been sleeping for well they are still sleeping right now

Is this normal?
note they are Cortunix quail

that have been eating they are okay I was just a tad worried and thank you!

yes, in my experience it is normal. They love sleeping for the first 2 days.

i just had some quail hatch today...
i have been stressed all day worrieing about this and that. i keep telling myself to not mess with them as much they are tired from hatching blah blah blah.
glad they are ok!

First few days they sleep a lot and look for a lot of attention — even if it’s just you looking in once in a while and “peeping” to them. They even fall asleep standing up (too cute!).

my quail Basil fell asleep standing for a brief second a few times to say very cute

chicks are the cutest things. even if they give us heart attacks every day...

Babies sleep a lot... anywhere... this is one of my chicks asleep ontop of their dinner. they also sleep stretched out and look dead. After you freak out, they pop up and run around like nothing happened.. completely normal.

Okie good to know xd after one of my chicks fell out of my hand she went to sleep after a little while and I made sure they were breathing xd
