My chicken is about 5 months old .. can't tell if he/she is an hen or rooster ... She/he started plucking out her/his feathers about 3 days ago .. what could it mean ? This is just today and yesterday

I only have one chicken
I feed her normal feed .. grower and I mix vitamins in her food .. I give her dried mealworms .. scramble eggs and pumpkin seeds as well e.g.What are you feeding her? Her comb color is a bit pale for a Pullet about to lay.... Is she in a coop?
