my chickens love digging deep holes. in the summer, the deeper they go, the cooler the dirt is so it helps cool them down too.

Well my chickens contribute to the security of my home......because any stranger walking or running in my back yard is gonna twist at least one ankle trying to traverse my yard full of chicken sized holes!

I just put the compost in the garden and turned the flock loose. They did all the tilling in for me. I just had to rake it smooth when they were done.

LOL. I know chickens are amazing at yard work. They have been clearing out everything on the side of the barn for me. I just started free ranging them the other day and they have been doing amazing work. LOL
