Is this one a Silver Appleyard?

Hi all.

I hatched out what were supposed to be a batch of pure Silver Appleyards, but one little guy sticks out like a sore thumb. He is more brown with yellow markings than the yellow with silver . Is he in fact an Appleyard, or a different breed? If not, what is it?

He looks like a Mallard to me.

And the one in the back on the right looks like a welsh harlequin to me...

Can you take a picture of the dark duckling from above?

He may still be from Appleyard stock, but be mr/m+ and/or Li/li instead of mr/mr and li/li. There are a number of different things that can occur genetically with Appleyards that cause variations in color.

I would say Mallard probably because he only has one full black line on his eye. Rouens usually have two, but there can be exceptions.
