Is this one dead?

I'd wait a few more days. I threw out an egg like that and after I cracked the egg in two a little baby was moving around. I had killed it. I felt horrible, I always heard blood rings meant dead but it wasn't so. Just wait.
Usually if a blood ring develops after normal development of the embryo, it's a sign of an early quitter...but I guess it wouldn't hurt to let it go a few more days to be sure.

Doesn’t hurt to leave it in. My last hatch had something similar and it was the second to hatch.
This may sound silly...but will it explode? There's a lot of ones I'm sure are no good in there with my 7 good ones and I was just going to leave them all in case but then I heard the bad ones explode.

If they are really old there is a chance but I think yours aren't that old, so should be ok for a few more days.

Bad ones have no veins this one should not explode. I’d be comfortable leaving it in mine. At day 18 I take all non developed/quitters out and put them into a large baggy breaking each to see what if anything developed. They haven’t exploded. I did have one explode but it got wet with me adding water to incubator and stuck to the turner.

Edit to say bad ones at day 7 would not have started like this one has. I think it’s worth a try.

Looked today and it's like all the veins are super visible again and the embryo is moving and wriggling. It was completely still these past two days.

:fl I hope it's a tough lil birdie
