Is this poison Ivy?

I guarantee that is not poison ivy. I just got down spraying mine about 10 minutes ago

When you are as deathly allergic to the stuff as I am you learn to spot it a mile away.

What you have is the garden variety nightshade. It will bloom shortly with pretty purple berries. DO not let kids or pets near the berries as they are TOXIC.

Tecnu is your best friend when you have poison ivy, oak and sumac in the yard.

Supposedly the berries of nightshade are poisonous to chickens, mine seem to leave them alone although I pull it out whenever I find it. It is, however, related to tomatoes, potatoes and egg plant.
