Is This Polish a Hen or a Roo? What Color?

    Is this a hen or roo? Also, what color would you call it? It is still pretty young. Sorry the pictures are not that great. He/She was not cooperating this morning. Camera shy I think. If you need more pics I can try again. Thank you!

    what you've got is a rooster. There's no technical term for the color he is, but I have seen several and owned a few. Most likely as he fully matures he will be a white body with some black ink spots here and there and red shoulders. This color is common when crossing silver lace and buff lace.

    My guess is that it is a roo - all of my polish roo's in the past have had a smaller top hat that allowed them a good field of vision my hens all end up with big poofy top hats and if I don't trim around their eyes they can only see down. The best way too tell is by the tail feathers though as the roos will have more of an upright set and the hens usually are shorter and angle with the countour of their backs.

    Yep, definitely a roo! And a mix of colors.
