Is this Pox? What do I do?
Yesterday I noticed this chicken had a scab on her comb. I thought it was just a scratch that would heal in a few days. This morning I went out and now the scab has expanded and there is a blister too.

I have 5 chickens and some of the others look like they have the same thing to a lesser degree. My chickens haven't been anywhere near other chickens since they were brought home on April 6.

Yeah, that top pic looks like Fowl Pox. It is a virus spread by mosquitoes. There is little you can do other than wait it out. They recuperate in a few weeks after the onset of this virus. You could always beef up the immune system with vitamins, minerals, probiotics, that sort of thing in the feed or water.

Keep the coop windows covered in window screen and if you have a ton of skeeters, you might want to spray or get a bug zapper.
