I'll be the first to admit, I have no clue about dutch banties. But we are talking about black sex links. The whole reason for sex linking is to be able to identify male and female at hatch. As soon as the chicks start feathering the hens will be black with some secondary color. And the roosters will have a barred pattern of some kind. There isn't a guessing game with sex links, that's the whole point.
Colors and patterns are going to vary because at the end of the day they're just mutts. I own red and black, both are great chickens.
