Yes I didn't even look at the feet... i think you are right... We don't have these in Ireland though so I wouldn't be familiar

I have a hen similar to this one, she does have small feathers on her legs, but the most obvious difference to me, is that she lays large chocolate colored eggs. She's pretty mean too.

When I bought her they just called her a chocolate egg layer, I looked it up and have always thought her to be a Maran.

The sz of them are throwing me off. They are bigger than my road island reds and cuckoo Maran. But like I said we are new to chicken and I'm just learning

But my hen that looks like yours is bigger than my RIR too. Mine is the biggest hen I have. I think that's why she throws her weight around!

The bottoms of Jersey Giant feet are yellow. Although JG may be in the bloodline, more likely Australorp or a breed with Black Beak? JG doesn't have that beautiful Copper hackle. Yours are beautiful. rejoice!
