Interesting. That would mean they mislabeled the egg. Meyer puts a code on each and this egg had the one for RIR. That would be kind of a bummer though because I would prefer a RIR over SL.Looks like a red sex link
Rhode island red's don't have white feathers
I've seen some pictures of young RIR chicks' sprouted wing feathers that are kind of blotchy in color, with some looking like they could have a cream color in the mix, so I wonder if that's just what color sprouted first on my chick. Maybe there's still a chance it's a RIR if that's the case. I'll be in tomorrow to see the chicks so I'll get an updated picture. There should be a lot more growth.
