Is this really a Silver Ameraucana?

I was told by this rooster's previous owners that he was a full Silver Ameraucana. I know that people are often told that a bird is a full Ameraucana when it's really an Easter Egger mutt, so I was just wondering if he does in fact look to be a true Ameraucana? I ask because he's a proud papa to 8 new chicks now, and I'm wondering about the likelihood that he passed on the blue egg gene to them. TIA!

Nope, he's an Easter egger. That nice pea comb bodes well for blue egg genes, though, so there's a good chance you'll have some green eggers if momma laid brown.

He's a EE,although the ameruacana, passed pea combing and egg gene to the EE.
I need a better pic

This is the only other picture I can find at the moment that shows him more up close. I figured he's an EE, and at least 2 of the chicks were by my EE hens, the rest are from my Golden Buffs and Production Reds, so I have a little hope for some blue/green layers :)

The previous owner lied or doesn't know what they are talking about. Anytime you see/hear the word silver in a breed description then the bird should be black and white. Some varieties of silver females can have reddish hues in the breast but not the roosters. This bird wouldn't be a silver variety of anything Including an EE. However, he may carry the gene for blue eggs but only time will tell.
