This is Athena. She will be 5 weeks old on Monday the 16th. I'm concerned because she looks NOTHING like my SS roo did at her age. Do pullet SS look that much different than cockerels?

Sorry the pics are so bad. She isn't the most social bird. Its hard to get near her without her running.

I raised 20 of these this spring, It looks like a speckled sussex to me. They change a lot as they mature.

Just adding another vote for Speckled Sussex! Pretty bird, and I'm sure she'll get even prettier when she's mature.

This will be her "man", IF he learns to behave.

Sorry, he's a busy fellow. Hard to get good pics usually!

How old is he? I raised a bunch and chose the best two roosters. Some of them were soooo wimpy, and others were sooo aggressive!! I picked two that were down the middle. They seem to have worked out, Oliver is in charge! I have Stanley and Oliver. This is Oliver. How many of this breed do you have?? They are so pretty!

Well, I got him this past Spring. Idr exactly when, but he was only a week old when I got him. Him and my almost 5 week old pullet r the only ones so far. I did hatch some if his "mutts", he fertilized with my red sex links. 1 looks like him, but of course isn't. Lol
