Is this really an "Awesome" diet for a duck?

Gluten is actually quite high in protein and comes from the endosperm of grains. People are sensitive to it, but it's not bad for you.

As for how this information effects the quality of duck feed? No idea.

Not enough nutrients, just a lot of fat. Look to see if your co-op carry's Purina products, they have a line of poultry products and in some states carry Duck grower but you can also feed flock raiser, then if you have hens they have layena for spring time.
