Is this 'Report Feature' part of the spam prevention?

Well, I was reporting a post of a member who was a newbie; only one post. So, I reported it and it said [This post has been marked as objectionable and is awaiting staff review.] Is THAT new or what??!

I've seen that on a thread before. I think it takes the place of whatever the person wrote until admin. can get to it and deal with it. I'm not sure exactly how new it is, but I know I've seen it in the last couple of weeks.

Actually that message appears if there is more than one report on that particular post.

Nothing to do with new members or old.
