Is this rooster an asil, shamo or Malay

I recently took in my neighbors rooster, as he was moving and could not take it with him, but I am wondering what kind of rooster is this. I was told it is an asil but after doing more research I may believe it is a Malay as the tail seems to be too short. I’m not sure though since Malays are cushioned combed can it be a shamo or even asil still.

I am no expert on the breeds you mention in your post, but, out of curiosity, did some reading. Tail length does not seem to be a characteristic bred for so it's likely the tails on these roosters vary. Also, is the tail grown in completely?

He's an interesting bird.

I also received his brother which I have better pictures of

Looks aseel to me
Is it on the larger or smaller side. Aseels are the smaller. But orientals smaller is regular chicken large.
