Is this rooster and EE or Ameraucana? I think EE

I have his twin! Mine's an ameraucana/marans EE and produced some beautiful chicks with my girls. Congrats on yours!

He's an ee just like the lavender color ameraucanas. I got a twin of his through buying 3 lav project ameraucanas a few years ago. 1 turned into a blue hen and 1 turned into a lav hen and the third turned into your boy. His parents might be pure ameraucanas but of different colors, making him an ee because he is not a showable color.

thanks....I really like him and he is such a good boy. I had another person mention that his colouring looked like a Birchen Maran so I have been wondering if that might be true. I have a welsummer hen here so maybe they might make an olive egger for me? I am now waiting for spring.....for hatching season....lol

I wondered about the lavender and couldn't make up my mind so I posted on here for suggestion. He really shows the Ameraucana features and is very pretty but EE is just fine with me. I think I will email a picture to the place where my son in law bought him and see what they did breed to achieve him. Now I wait for spring to see what he produces.
