Is this rumour true

Well, I guess it depends on the level of drumming, but my 12 year old has made my glass of water jounce and jiggle and spill. Developing blood vessels are delicate things.
Who knows? Maybe they will all hatch, and the chicks will crave heavy metal...
The funny thing about scientific fact. Scientists just re-discovered a species of giant bee. The funny thing is, it was never lost, and even before some scientist discovered it the first time... the local people always knew about them. Just funny how something that has always existed, does't exist in some peoples eyes until some one in a white lab coat "discovers" it a few times.
If it's anything like my experience, I played heavy metal the entire time I was expecting and then some to the baby. He hates heavy metal.:barnie He makes me listen to oldies and old country.:barnie So now I make him listen to opera in retort.
It did not work in my case.:idunno
My house roosters don't seem to like heavy metal either! :barnie
And I didn't play any to them when they were developing.

As in being in the rain? Or from the change in pressure?
Pressure changes and lightening strikes.
We had a really bad storm the other night when my duckling were hatching and lightening struck somewhere close and I thought the house was falling down.
One of my ducklings that didn't make it appeared to have a ruptured yolk sack.
I'm sure it was a coincidence but it reminded me of having been told that before.

No idea how accurate it is, but the late Anne McCaffrey put a lot of research from expert in various fields into her novels. In one of the early novels in the Pern timeline, when geneticist Kitti Ping was working with genetic material from native lifeforms and had embryos developing it was very important to protect them from the seismic tremors. The incubators she used had some sort of protection as i recall the scientist working in her laboratory rushing to check the developing embryos to see if any had been damaged by the shockwaves. I imagine there is some truth to it, but I wouldn't overly worry.
great books , the early ones... the later ones were darker

I enjoyed most of her books. Todd is good as well, but he get a little too far out there sometimes. Like in order for me to fully comprehend the actual story due to the timelines and what not I have to reread sections several times to actually place what and where something is happening. He went into temporal paradoxes much more than she did.

I don't think that's true. the amount of noise and crazy stomping in this house of mine would have killed all my hatches if true. I have kids here that jump, stomp and yell half the freaking day to the point I feel scrambled and dead inside but I always have good hatches.

Spank their hind ends! :p
