Hey i have this 4.5 year old rooster and noticed raised scales for years. at first i didnt think it was mites bc the pictures ive seen looked very different. Is this scaly leg mites or something else.

already started vasaline treatment bc i have warm weather this week.

Are my old hens fine too? i feel like they r slightly raised compared to my .5 year old chickens

they all act normal.
hens range from 3-4 years.

thanks!

The black one looks like the scales are raised and different color. The golden colored one looks normal but I would treat them all the same as preventative. It would NOT hurt to slather vaseline on their legs and feet even if they don't have SLM. Good luck!
