Hi, my chick is 5 weeks old tomorrow, I read that you can tell by now if it is a rooster by the redness of it's comb. Felicienne's comb is very pink so I'm wondering if I might have to change her name.

Sorry about the quality of the photos, she was very busy catching Mosquitoes.

Thanks

With that much pink comb at five weeks would vote cockerel ... does he have feathers on his legs, looks more like a Brahma in those pictures.

Doesn't look like a sebright, looks more like a buff brahma, its the wrong color and comb type for a sebright.
It looks like a little roo.

Here's some more photos of her at 4 weeks,

I have just looked at pics on sites of brahmas and she has never looked like one of those, but these are my first and I am not an expert so if you say he is a brahma then he is.

The feathers coming in now are not adult feathers, so they will change a bit still. Its got feathered legs and a pea comb and is the buff color with a darker neck, which is what the buff brahma looks like, so that was my first thought, all I know is that it is not a sebright at all.

Omg and I'm not being rude but I can't see any feathers on the legs. Which picture are you seeing that?

The last pic you can see some feathering on the legs at least that is what it looks like. I would say it's not a seabright but not sure what it might be

Thought I saw feathered legs in the first picture, its kind of blurry though, might be the way the legs are held and the background looking like leaves.
Looking at the last picture there is some feathering on the legs there.

But if it is hatchery stock, it might not have feathered legs since its not show quality. They don't really breed for quality.

Again buff brahma was my first guess with the coloring and pea comb.
