Is this Silkie's comb too big (and ugly) to breed from?

I added a BBS pen last year, and I am having some quality issues compared to my whites. This is my best blue cockerel. He has good type. Good cushion, nice feet and fantastic foot feathering. Unfortunately he has one of the ugliest combs I've ever seen.

I am assuming that if his comb is passed on, it will mainly effect the males, correct? Would you breed him or just look for a replacement?

***EDIT*** In the title, I didn't mean "is his comb too big", but rather "is it too far from a walnut comb with the horns and protuberances sticking out?"
