I candled the eggs before I placed them in incubator and for the heck of it I decided to recandle today, day 4. All of the eggs developed this dark spot on the yolk but there’s no visible veins or an air sac. I’m going to candle again on day 7. but does this look promising or will only time tell? Super anxious due to this being my first incubation batch.

Hold the pointy end to the light and you might see it better. I just did mine on day 7 and there is no mistaken the black dot and air sack. Looks like you do have an air sack in there.

i just candled mine (they are also on day 4) and the life inside is really obvious. Maybe its not fertile?

There’s always the possibility it isn’t fertile. They’re medium brown eggs so I’m just hoping it’s just difficult to see the veins this early. What does your eggs look like candled today?

Here’s photos of it candled as you said. I’m still uncertain of what the air sac looks like.

I just candled my 7 day eggs today. In the first 30 seconds you can see what an air sack looks like and the embryo. I would wait until day 7 or 8 to candle them again. You'll be able to see the details a lot better.

Great video! I love candling so much. It's great see how someone else does it.
