I got mystery chicks on Saturday and this one I noticed has a wide stance. She also has 5 toes, feathered feet and black skin, so I'm thinking she is silkie mix at least. She has no problems walking, jumping, or making a ruckus. I just want to make sure this isn't something I need to correct.

Not sure about her stance, but she sure is cute!!! I will be interested to see what others have to say as I have 50 chicks, 15 ducklings and 8 goslings arriving on April 8th. Didn't have any leg issues with last years bunch, but would love to know what to look for. Thanks for the post.

She is adorable! And really starts chirping when I pick up another chick and she doesn't get her turn!

I cut a bandaid in half length wise and taped their legs together so they were appropriately spaced apart. It was a pain in the butt and i actually didnt believe it would work. it did actually. My chick couldnt walk though. If your chick can walk it may be able to get fixed on its own.

She can walk, it's more of a waddle. If I band her legs, do I need to stay with her? I have to work, would she be ok for a couple hours?

she's a dorking , the only chicken with 5 toes
