Is this too many days for shipped chicks to survive? (4)

... To add to future confusion ;)

I have worked in logistics and when you have a bunch of things that will all come at once and need to go fast (like adorable baby šŸ„ )

To save time and go really efficiently, you pre-print your shipping labels, and these days that means that before you are even packing them up (very possibly before they hatch) the shipping label is already in the database of the shipping company. You sometimes just let the system pick a date, then when the pickup comes the system updates and you get more accurate information.

I have seen labels for chicks made before hatching, so when they are ready they get out the door as close to immediately as possible.

The beauty of you being notified is that you can see the address on the label and catch a problem before they leave.

Feel very free to call the company or the shipping company and ask if the package is sent/picked up if you see too long a delay between pickup and delivery, it can take them just a moment to check and save you worry. They are usually very happy to tell you how careful they are being (pride of workmanship :) ) and to give you great news.
