i have 2 two-and-a-half month old Sebastopol girls with airplane wings. When i first noticed their wings tipping out, i reduced the protein in their feed by adding rolled oats, and increased greens. Several times i have wrapped their wings, tucking the bottom tips under and back into position. i would leave the wrap on for about 4 days, take it off, it would look okay for a while, then they would tip back out.

Is this twisted wing tip or angel wing? Is this correctable or will they end up staying this way? Would appreciate any input on what to do at this point.

It looks like angel wing to me. However, I am told that twisted wing tip is different and I don't know what that would look like since i don't have sebastopol geese.

No it it not twisted wing tip...it's angel wing developing.
Twisted wing tip typically developes at an older age where just the little boney tip on the wing curls.
It's best to tape the wing when the goslings show the first signs at an earlier stage but you could try.
Once the pin feathers dry out and harden your window of opportunity to correct the wing is gone.
I using the soft papery medical tape on younger gosling but at this age I would use making tape.
DO NOT us duct tape as it will rip too many feathers out.
I will try to describe the best I can how to do this.
I really need to make up a description of taping wings with photos.
This works best with one person holding and one person taping.
But anyway...take the end portion of the wing that is sticking out and fold it under
the top part of the wing that attaches to the body. Make sure everything is flat against the body.
Just make sure to tuck the wing under like a bird would hold it in a natural position.
Take your tape and wrap it around the entire wing closest to the body.
Repeat this a little farther down the wing with a second piece of tape.
Don't wrap it too tight to cut off circulation or too loose that it doesn't hold the wing in place.
The whole point is to keep the end portion of the wing tucked under
in a natural position and to hold it there. Do not be startled if your bird acts clumsy or even falls down after taping
its wings since taping ther wings would sort of be like taping your arms behind your back.
At any rate they will get their bearings in short order.
You DO NOT need to do any elaborate tapings around the entire body and this will just rip off more feathers.
With your birds I would leave the tape on for 2 weeks and then take the tape off to check the position of the wings
then re-tape if necessasy. Typically I leave the tape on for a week and re-check but with your goslings being older
irreversable damage may already of been done. In other words you might not be able to correct the wings at this stage but it would be worth a try.
Hope this helps and let me know how you make out. Good luck!

OK found a couple pics that might help of a gosling with taped wings. (one strip)
You can use 2 strips of tape in a figure 8 position for more security which I think you will need with your older goslings.

Thank you so much, Celtic and Cottage, for the information and directions. i had taped their wings a couple times before. When i took the tape off the wings were fine for a day or so, then flopped back out. Most likely did not keep the wrap on long enough. And i have had some health issues (and other emergencies) which have kept me from being diligent on this issue. Plus, these two girls are just crazy little things. They act like they are being murdered if i pick them up.
