Possibly a peck wound at the top of the eye. Looks like the eye may have been pecked too?

Eye looks like it is infected and has a discharge either from being pecked or possible respiratory infection.
Wash the eye with saline and clean out any pus. Apply some vetericyn eye gel or terramycin eye ointment.

I understand you are not with your chickens at the moment, but if you can get some clearer photos that may help.

As @sourland asks -- any other symptoms--coughing, sneezing, runny nose - any others in the flock showing any symptoms?

May want to separate this one just in case it is respiratory infection and not infected from a pecking wound.

I had my wife seperate her bc she thinks the pullet is being bullied. Wife said other pullets have little bumps but nowhere near as bad as this girl. They're all 8-9 wks old. Bought them from Ideal Poultry out of Cameron TX as day old chicks

Her right eye the day after (today)

It looks like a respiratory illness. It could be Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG).
Separate any birds showing symptoms.
You can try to treat with Tylan 50 injectable, given orally, or seek a vet's help. Tylan 50 dosage is 1 cc or ml per 5 pounds of weight, or 1/2 cc for bantams. Give it orally or as an injection into the breast muscle 1/4 inch deep. Or if you are treating the whole flock you can get some Tylan Soluble Powder for their water or some Oxytetracycline . The Tylan is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 3-5 days. The Oxytetracycline dosage can vary with the brand you purchase.


Flush the eyes with saline and remove any pus. You can apply Vetericyn eye gel, Terramycin eye ointment in the eyes.

Respiratory illnesses are contagious. Affected and exposed birds will be considered carriers for life.
