I just gathered eggs out in my small coop from the cages with my d'anvers and the cage with my seramas. I could not believe it when I saw the egg on the far left! I actually looked at chickens (d'anvers) and said out loud "is this what a chicken fart looks like?" i could not wait to take a picture to post. It is smaller than my button quail eggs!
ETA: the tiny egg is the d'anvers, next a pair of serama eggs (and my serama lay a small egg as you can see by the dime comparison) and the eggs the d/anvers laid over the last couple days are on the far right. I am going to put it in the bator and see what happens! Has anyone else ever had a chicken (bantam) lay a really abnormally small egg and hatched it?
