I've been reading and thinking . . . tell me if my plan will work or what I need to do differently . for my roo that apparently has fowl pox. First, move him out to a pen all his own. Wash food bowls, watering bowls, small coop the three biddies are in and ground with bleach solution. Watch other roo biddy and hen closely for signs of pox. (The one on this roo's top beak is about the size of a man's thumb, smaller on bottom and black spot near eye and on wattles/comb. All of other chickens are in different coops/runs, tho adjacent to this one the three are now in. Will all chickens have to be vaccinated or just ones in coop/run with infected roo? Please advise on any changes/solutions. I don't know what to do for the infected roo. I have had them for about 3 weeks, and the three biddies (nearly 3 months old) have been very skittish since I got them, hiding under coop when I go in to feed and water, etc. Any help/suggestions appreciated very much! Thank you!
