Mine aren't laying yet, so with them it's the roosting bar; they all have to cram on to the same one and argued so much each night at bedtime, that I just put in a new 5 1/2 foot roost. Plenty of room for 7 chickens, right? Wrong! Now they all jockey for the spot next to the window, leaving the rest of the roost unoccupied. <sigh>

This doesn't bode well for when they start using the nest boxes.

I agree they all have their favorite spots on the roosting bar! Mine do big girls on the left....babies on the right. No exceptions!
