Hi guys I have a four week old polish chick here. When I let them out this morning I g I noticed this one seems to have some issues with it’s head.
Ive separated it now and it’s eating and standing ok for the moment though it does tilt to the side a little at times when standing.
I did notice a slight swelling on the side that was bent over.
I took a couple videos but looks like I can’t post them here. I’ll try work that out and get those up as well.
She’s very unhappy about being isolated, is squawking very loud
1) What type of bird , age and weight:
4 week old. 230g/8.1oz
2) What is the behavior, exactly:
Held floppy, tilting, twisting. More so when picked up.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
Just this morning when I let them out
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No, she's the only one.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury:
No
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all:
Appears to be eating and drinking fine.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Not sure yet as have only just isolated here but I’ll keep an eye on it.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Nothing yet as only just noticed it. Have isolated and given some dandelions.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.

12) Describe the housing/bedding in use She's currently quarantined in a cat carrier. Prior to this they all sleep inside in a large dog carrier and during the day are all outside in a small pen.
